Sigma Nu

Sigma Nu Fraternity is dedicated to the principles of love, honor and truth. Considered to be the first honor fraternity, Sigma Nu seeks to develop men of character who strive for excellence in all facets of university life. Founded in 1888, the Psi Chapter of Sigma Nu at UNC is a selective collection of well-rounded individuals who aim for distinction socially, academically, and in the local community. The Psi Chapter commits its community service efforts to the Ronald McDonald House and Cystic Fibrosis. Psi Chapter philanthropy efforts benefit Victory Junction, a camp for terminally ill and disabled children. Our signature philanthropy event is The Sigma Nu BBQ Cookoff, which takes place every spring. BBQ pit masters come from all over the state come to compete in a cookoff with campus dignitaries judging.
